‘Information is power’: New law empowers rent-stabilized tenants to fight overcharges • Brooklyn Paper Landlords who own buildings with one or more rent-stabilized units are now required to post signs informing tenants that the building contains rent-stabilized

ICYMI: Buildings with rent stabilized units will soon have signage alerting tenants to the building's status! This is just a small, simple awareness tool to empower tenants.

Thanks #BrooklynPaper for covering the bill.

The drone attack on the Freedom Flotilla, delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, is a blatant and transparent violation of international law and human decency. Targeting those bringing relief to civilians is indefensible. Solidarity with everyone at the @freedomflotilla.bsky.social

Eric Adams is despicable, never wanted to #CloseRikers and now that he is a total lame duck he floats this. @sandynurse.bsky.social says it best “ Any attempt to reverse the law that requires the city to close Rikers is a useless unproductive waste of f-king time” @nycprogressives.bsky.social

I wrote for @hammerandhope.bsky.social about why Black Leftists must take power in the streets and in elected office.

In this era, protest isn’t enough. We need Black Leftists in City Halls across America.

Stop ceding ground.
Take power at all levels.

Kinda insane and shows how afraid the networks are of upsetting this administration that a guy who killed 7 people and wounded 48 with “47” literally tattooed on his face has all but been forgotten like there’s still not a very serious threat emanating from every pore of this pathetic cult

My universal child care plan isn't built on feel-good rhetoric or empty promises. It's a real, actionable plan that leverages the full power of the comptroller’s office to address our city's child care crisis with strategic audits, smart investments & a commitment to families.

I'm not going to stop saying this. We need to stop calling it "deporting." It may not always be fair or humane, but deportation has a process. And it means you're sent back to where you came from. These people are being trafficked and sold to slave prisons. Not deported.

Adams Administration Inks Executive Order Allowing ICE Back on Rikers Island After the Trump administration demanded the mayor’s cooperation on immigration enforcement, a deputy authorizes federal officials to resume operations at the city’s jail complex.

New: First Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro signed an executive order Tuesday allowing ICE to reestablish an office on Rikers, rolling back a provision of the city’s sanctuary protections that had been on the books for more than a decade. — with @gwynnefitz.bsky.social

New Yorkers aren’t stupid. We see exactly what this is. Eric Adams is letting ICE onto Rikers to serve his deal with Trump and court MAGA support, now that he’s back to being a Republican.

Of course Donald Trump and Andrew Cuomo have “always gotten along”

Both men are serial sexual harassers driven by massive ego and the desire to weaponize literally anything for personal political gain.
