Suddenly rediscovered today is not a statutory holiday at 8am.

I’ll have you all know I walked into that office at 9am and faced it with a well-trimmed moustache like a goddamned gentleman.

Today, the federal New Democratic Party selected its new leader.

It is clear that the direction of the federal party under this new leader, someone who openly cheered for the defeat of the Alberta NDP government, is not in the interests of Alberta. /1

"Being Liberal in a Sea of Blue" I'm not a Liberal in spite of western values. I'm a Liberal because of them.

Majority of Albertans oppose separating from Canada: Leger poll The majority of Albertans support the province staying in Canada, according to a March Leger poll.

Alberta separatists are 20% of the vote, 100% of the noise.

They've railroaded us into a conversation that erodes business confidence and pits us against each other.

Absent polls suggesting any chance Albertans want this, the Premier should shut the door to a divisive referendum.

Charles Daniels’s stand against racism: How Alberta history is repeating itself | The Sprawl In 1911, province feared ‘dark tide’ of Black immigration.

In the 1910s, when Charles Daniels was denied his seat at the Grand Theatre in Calgary, Alberta feared a "dark tide" of immigrants flooding its borders. "The rhetoric of today resembles the rhetoric of those years," says Cheryl Foggo. #ableg

You’d think maybe this isn’t a great time to let separatists scare investment away.

Colour studio portrait of Mark Tewksbury facing the camera and smiling broadly with teeth visible. He has short dark hair with grey at the sides and a neatly trimmed grey beard and moustache. He is wearing a black suit jacket, a white dress shirt, and a dark striped tie. A small lapel pin is visible on his jacket. The background is plain and light-coloured, with no other objects visible.

Jeez.

“At least six preventable deaths and more than 30 “near-misses” occurred in Alberta emergency departments since the beginning of the year because of overcrowding”

Call an election. We need government that is willing to act to save lives.
