(1/11) How can we better understand and prevent postpartum depression – one of the most common psychological complications in mothers after childbirth? Last but not least, we introduce @lea-vogel.bsky.social's dissertation, which addressed this important question.

We were very glad to host the meeting of Clinical Psychology Professors this year. As always, we discussed issues related to teaching, research, clinical training. This year, we invited @maxneufeind.bsky.social to additionally talk about how (Clinical) Psychology can impact on politics and society.

Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, in der vergangenen Woche das jährliche Treffen der Hochschullehrer:innen Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie hier an der @lmumuenchen.bsky.social ausrichten zu können. An zwei Tagen haben wir uns intensiv über aktuelle Themen unseres Faches ausgetauscht.

Do trauma-focused interventions change what we remember – or only how we remember it?
In her dissertation, @milenaaleksic.bsky.social explored this question through a series of experimental studies.

Grateful to have joined the #mitnb workshop last week at TESC, Tilburg. Five days of inspiring talks, engaging hackathons, and great people from around the world! Thanks to MITNB and @tesc-tilburgu.bsky.social for organizing such an energizing and insightful event on timescales in #ESM research.

Franziska Motka explored this question in her PhD at our department, completed on Oct 20, 2025. She investigated the psychological and neurobiological processes that keep chronic smoking going – and how they can be changed.
