Yknow, another song I truly despise is Sweet Caroline. It truly sucks. I will hear no apologies for it.

I'm doing some cleaning in my flat and I've got to face the issue every cheap terrain crafter must face. How much cardboard can I stand to throw in the recycling bin?
So things have turned around for me a lot recently. I've started working again and I'm spending a lot of time with friends.
I've been working in schools across the city, and I've mostly enjoyed it.
I've not done a great deal of tabletop gaming recently, but I'm still playing on Mondays regularly
Like every other day for me
I have one of these! I bought it off of an older player as a kid.
He still needs a banner, but he’s done. With that my orc boys are finished (at least until the made to order ones arrive) #oldhammer
It's not an unusual thing people have been imbibing stimulants for as long as communities of humans have had access to them.
For something that's boring and not engaging like an email job it is actually pretty helpful because it can help you stay engaged and focused.
Oathmark light infantry elves might be serviceable. Although they look a bit human to me.
It's great because there are two FPs in my city and both of their table top selections fucking suck. It's literally just 5.5e, 5.5e 3rd party, warhammer 40k magazines and maybe one other thing. The big one might have HeroQuest.
The gaming stores are fine but focused on CCGs more than anything.
My local Waterstones has had this weird expansion of table top stuff. You can tell there is an enthusiast working there. Some things you'd normally see at forbidden planet like HeroQuest, but also some more offbeat titles like Twilight Imperium or even Burrows and Badgers. That last one surprised me
It'd be worth it if they still had Star Trek on there. My and my bf were gutted when it came off.
Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I heard Deicide used AI for their latest album covers.
Death Metal has some of the most insane album covers ever and Deicide fucked over that tradition with slop.
New video today on shields!
A mainstay of medieval fantasy (if you're not the main character) but what were some of the most common shields seen in medieval history?

Well, it's happened now. I've had my first ever taste of being a TA. It was quite pleasant. I was absolutely bricking it at the start.
I think for people in my country Gen X people had seen re-runs of the A-Team, much less Walker Texas Ranger.
I think for people outside America, the relative obscurity of Chuck Norris was part of the appeal. At least, that's how I felt about it.
I think Kryten and Rimmer ran from these in Episode 6 Series 4 of Red Dwarf
I think I vaguely recollect this coming up on a forum. There was a thread of "Chuck Norris jokes" and one guy just steadfastly refused to do anything other than Mr T jokes.

Well, sure, that's what rangers, barbarians, and paladins are for.
Whether fighters are dull is really a matter of personal taste, though. Whether or not those mechanics are dull to you also depends on how combat is being run (I'm not saying system doesn't matter here, I'll die before saying that).
Am I the only person who thinks that isn't weird? Fighters, being the kind of default beginner class, is a pretty big strength of the system imo. Of course, it's less justifiable if you start playing to higher levels.
It's the most popular class on D&D beyond, I think that's a lot of first PCs
Not sure if it was THIS codex though. It was an Apocalypse style game, which was the style at the time, this codex might have been out of print (but you can bet my old ass Necron codex wasn't).
They used to have a section in the back that gave fluff reasons for why they'd fight xenos.
One time this asshole used it as a reason for why their anti-daemon weapons should do the additional damage against the Nightbringer.
I was like 16. This guy looked 40 something.
I'm still kinda mad.
Ah right it ain't that then. That's the extent of my knowledge I'm afraid.
Hang on, have you turned off the location on your phone. I was worried the vpn wasn't working for me, then I realised I still had that turned on.
Dang sorry about that
Is that a region specific thing? Because if so, you could VPN your way around it.
*nearly bonk the paladin on the head
They both missed
There was a lot of chatter during the session, I think I need to do a better job of keeping people focused. The ending would have been a pisser, the mini-boss escaped but then their magic sword started to speak, voice notes from a friend who has been wanting to sit in.
First Monday D&D sesh in a long while. Full crew. They completely botched their rest, and a group of bugbears were able to come up on them and bonk the paladin on the head, but thankfully, they started rolling really well during that encounter.
