Let may not be perfect but

That’s a shame cos he and his team are actually delivering benefits to the country that were being destroyed over the preceding 14 years and against a hostile environment within and without since day 1.

Just saw a clip of Starmer wiping the floor with Badenoch as usual, he's coming out fighting as I knew he would. The media despite all their efforts haven't landed a killer blow. And the more they drone on about the more desperate they appear.

Farage missing from #PMQs, just like he was missing from the security vetting statement yesterday.

Anywhere that’s not Clacton or Parliament!

Kemi Badenoch can't believe Keir Starmer would allow anyone with links to the Kremlin anywhere near government

I was thinking the same.
‘The Blob’ they called it didn’t they ? Something to be attacked and tamed when they were in power and now, in opposition, apparently something to be protected and listened to.
Hypocrisy is too nice a word for them…

Excellent points, my sanity is restored. I went BTL at the Grauniad where with a few exceptions, they hate him. I think they want some non-existent existent nirvana.

I was just saying the exact same thing today on YouTube. A change of leader would only make things worse as they'd have the same hounding by the press without the legitimacy of winning a GE.

In January 2025, they tried to avenge the resignation of Liz Truss by pretending that Rachel Reeves was about to lose her job because bond yields were rising across the globe and the value of the pound marginally fell, as if this was comparable to what happened during and after the mini-Budget.

The right wing media are on a poisonous vendetta to avenge the resignation of Boris Johnson, during my life every labour Goverment has had to endure this awful attitude. They concentrate all their efforts to discredit Labour with no effort to acknowledge the good decisions. Unfortunately it works

And my point - taken from today’s PMQs:

5 hours ago 21 4 0 0

It’s both - they clearly do not like Starmer, and want him out*, but as you say, no matter who has the job, they’ll get the same treatment. *Say what you like about him, but Starmer is not a quitter. He had a relatively hard upbringing & working for it all has made him tough. Tougher than many think

I think they’re on a mission to make it as bad as possible for them at the LEs. Hoping the backbenchers will turn the knife on him afterwards. What they’re not reckoning is that it’s still a few years before a GE! Policies and turn arounds take time to feel the benefit.

. . . and let's remind ourselves: two of those billionaires are Rupert Murdoch (Times, Sun, etc) and Lord Rothermere (Faily Fail).

Whoever is in that office for Labour will face the same attacks day-in-day-out until the government is brought down.

It's not about Starmer, it's about Labour and a government that is working for ordinary people, not the billionaires and big business.

If anyone actually thinks the media are going after Keir Starmer and get him to resign, I have a message for you: they are not doing that.

They are going after a Labour Prime Minister and trying to get them to resign.

No need even to ask. They defended Johnson over Breaking his own laws,Attacked Rayner & Starmer when they didn't. Supported illegal wars. They don't live here pay tax here they should have no right to speak here with their foreign agenda for foreign powers. Anti patriots.

Please let's have more facts like this and less right-wing propaganda.

We know facts turn to sawdust at the Telegraph and Daily Mail, but sadly it seems the same happens in most other media outlets too.

Ten bits of good news/announcements from our Labour Gov. I’ve included economic info from Chancellor’s Statement to Parliament. Whilst the press focus on a man sacked 7 months ago our Government continue to rebuild Britain. #DoingTheMediasJob

It’s truly despicable
I’m tired of the Labour stabbing
I hope Starmer just ignores them and continues to spite them all

We now have an entire media who would rather see a Farage govt, leading to the demise of the NHS and an alliance with the far right US Christian Nationalist fuckers than support the govt we elected And its drift towards EU alignment
Putin must be laughing his head off.

Can’t wait to see what the BBC News thinks Starmer should resign because of next week.

Maybe Farage conning a street into believing they were getting their bills paid?

Or Tice dodging £100k in taxes?

Britain’s Solar Revolution Is Here and We Should Be Shouting It From the Rooftops Ed Miliband is helping to turn the country into a nation of 'solar zealots' and Josiah Mortimer is enthusiastically along for the ride

Solar Energy UK's chief is unsurprised by the surge: “Solar has such a dramatic impact on bills. Even before the latest energy crisis, last year saw a record 258,000 small-scale installations completed, largely on houses. The two million [total] mark will be crossed within weeks.”

Ed Miliband is having a bit of a moment. On Tuesday, the Energy Secretary gave a speech with one overriding message: “Every solar panel we put up, every wind turbine we build, every heat pump we install, every EV on the road makes our country more secure.”

Ed Miliband is helping to turn the country into a nation of ‘solar zealots’ and I'm enthusiastically along for the ride. Thankfully I'm not alone.
