Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.

This is fascinating - English used to have a pronoun for "we two". Can't imagine how romantic poets and writers of love songs let that drop put of use!
Took me a minute!
Let’s try that again, Patterson is a great and lovely movie if you haven’t seen it already

Ahh, the first big weekend, so evocative
Can you get it to the Highland Cinema in Fort William?
I don’t know of anywhere that does it, but wouldn’t it be a wonderful idea!
Queen
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Googly eyes have been added to the cover artwork
Reader, I googlied him
Am going to see it Sunday, but my 25 year old just got home from seeing it. He’s says it beautiful, he cried, he thinks me and Dad will love it, and fist my bump.
Three small wooden embroidery frames containing art representing the temperate rainforest in Scotland.
The first is crocheted lichens and mosses in pale shades of green and grey with red tips on some. There are pixie cups and devils matchsticks and staghorn lichen amongst others
The second is needle felting, crochet and punch needle I. Many shades of green. An attempt to capture the huge variety of textures and structures in a tiny space of the forest
The third is shades and textures of green and orange and brown inspired by the many things growing and living on trees in the rainforest
Beautiful evening attending Nevis Landscape’s Creative Rainforest Exhibition. So many wonderful works on view. But it’s impossible not to be inspired by these intricate and vital pockets of precious rainforest. This was shown at the end and it was quite lovely www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p...
Thank you for making the playlist. I love Terrys voice, my earliest musical memory is hearing Ghost Town on the top 40 as a wee kid
Oh this must be such fun! Have you come across The Book With No Pictures yet? If you like doing the faces and the voices, check it out! I feel very strongly about children’s books that are a joy to read out loud, and miss my boys being wee enough to sit and listen and laugh.
Cmat arriving on stage at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh. Singing Jamie Oliver Petrol Station like hers and all of ours lives depend on it. And I think maybe they do.
David Byrne and the Electric Ghost Train Orchestra at the Armadillo in Glasgow
This must be the place 💚 David and all the musicians and performers on stage dressed in orange, performing in front of a forest backdrop
My Apartment is my Friend. David Byrne and the Electric Ghost Train Orchestra performing in front of a back drop of David’s New York apartment
Whilst the world feels like it can’t get to hell in a handcart fast enough, what an absolute privilege to fill my cup of joy and love at the altar or music. Cmat and her incredibly sexy band Friday in Edinburgh, David Byrne and the Ghost Train Orchestra in Glasgow Saturday.
A shop window display made entirely from British wool to celebrate and promote awareness of Nevis Landscapes Projects’s Creative Rainforest project
A close up of some of our mossy textures and leaves
More mossy mushroomy woolly goodness
A shop window display made entirely from British wool to celebrate and promote awareness of Nevis Landscapes Projects’s Creative Rainforest project
Something nice to look at. The team in our wool shop have made a woolly woody window to promote the Nevis Landscape Partnership’s Creative Rainforest project. We have beautiful temperate rainforests in the west coast of Scotland.
I couldn’t agree with this more Karie, I feel like that was a massive turning point for me politically, and whilst endlessly awful, nothing that’s come after has surprised me.
Dead flies were to be found in a Garibaldi biscuit!
Sorry about your horrid week. My Nana used to make this when we were kids and we called it nit cake. Nice huh? I still make it occasionally as I have a deep love for caraway.
Image is a Cavapoo sat on its owners lap with her paw resting on the table. She’s wearing a little black harness with a rainbow bow tie attached. (The Cavapoo not the owner 💚)
A Cavapoo with newly dyed pink ears and tail, sat on a wooden deck in the garden
I work with a cavapoo called Peanut and she’s almost the best thing about my job

I was 15, on my own, and saw them again two weeks later in Aviemore after my mum arrived way to early to collect me and ended up chatting to the tour manager and got me in the guest list. I was a happy wee goth!
Hogweed seeds heads laden with snow against a sky heavy with snow yet to fall
Knapweed seed heads wearing snowy wee hats against a background of trees branches lined with snow
Ivy, moss and lichens dusted in snow growing on a tree trunk
Rowan berries and branches highlighted with snow
Things wearing snow on my walk today 🤍❄️
There’s this muppet on TikTok who transcribes and then scats incredibly difficult jazz solos so well and I could not possibly love a thing more
Living life, the good life, it’s an act of will, an act of defiance, it’s a choice, a privileged choice, I’m grateful for mine and I wish it for us all. 2026, let’s have it 💚 youtu.be/DRO7c4RUhVQ
I saw it in dancing to the beastie boys live in Glasgow with my 15 year old son. It was joyous. I used to know @discodave75.bsky.social around about when I first ever got to see them actually live. Happy new year to both you and discodave.
Still an absolute favourite
As a sea swimmer I’m both fascinated and wary of jellyfish, but they are so beautiful in motion 🪼
