Opposing white supremacy is a crime in Trump’s America.

This feels a lot like southern states persecuting the NAACP during Jim Crow.

“The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force.
We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.”

The painting is of George Washington crossing the Delaware. It is by Emanuel Leutze.

An article from the National Parks Service: Smallpox,
Inoculation, and the Revolutionary War
Boston National Historical Park
During the 1700s, smallpox raged through the American colonies and the Continental Army. Smallpox impacted the Continental Army severely during the Revolutionary War, so much so that George Washington mandated inoculation for all Continental soldiers in 1777. Just fifty-six years earlier, in 1721, Bostonian doctors and clergy introduced the procedure to the American colonies.
Without the vision and determination of these early Bostonians in normalizing inoculation, Washington may not have made the decision to mandate inoculation for the Continental Army. Though it was a controversial action, many historians credit the medical mandate with the colonists' victory in the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States of America.

Are we in a World War right now? Here's why a Chicago professor says yes It's not just months of fireball bombings and human misery that amount to "The Return of the World War," a Chicago expert says.

Thank you @nbcchicago.com for this feature on my argument that we are presently in a world war.

Jim’s talking about a career in comics here, but the whole thread up and down applies to pretty much every career. Particularly the bit about luck. In Hollywood in particular luck is such a major factor that if we really stopped and thought about, our sanity would snap.

The explosion kills the largest number of top US officials in one day in history, and includes Gardiner, while Tyler *happens* to be blowing off the cannon demonstration by staying belowdecks flirting with *Gardiner’s daughter*. Sure.

To be clear the third McNee novel is actually called FATHER CONFESSOR. And I have no idea what THE GOOD DAUGHTER is supposed to be other than what someone with little imagination might guess a sequel to my debut would be called.
