Yep, 🤞🏻
Not quite privately but don’t worry. Weird that the Mail ‘newspaper’ choose to put ‘abuse’ in quotation marks.
About halfway to Glasgow…
Glasgow on Sunday. First date for Think Ahead in 2026.

I did a big London show last November. Nothing planned at the moment.
First time in my stand up career that a festival has added a warning that my show contains ‘swearing.’
Glasgow audiences must be more sensitive than they used to be. We’ll find out on March 29…

I’m on the One Show on BBC1 at 7 with the Pussycat Dolls. Not sure how to prepare. Perhaps I’ll do the calming exercise Michael Palin’s character used in GBH to help him get over bridges
Thank you, what a nice message to receive on my birthday. And, for the avoidance of doubt, I can confirm no money changed hands in the creation of Verity’s post.
😂
Dear Mr Alan Davies,
Your application for a 60+ London Oyster photocard has been processed and will be delivered within 5 days.
🕺🥳
Had to search that up, made me smile
Obvs…
Same show
I am now 60 as of 5 minutes ago.
So many old people’s forms to fill in so I can get my discounts. I’ll be up all night.
Recording QI all day and last night. Many klaxons, massively in negative points deficit. Only an idiot would not have lowered self esteem at this moment. And yes, I am that idiot.
Delighted to be chatting rats on new @alandaviescomic.bsky.social Radio 4 series ‘A Life Without…’ listen here 👇https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002rf05 @chiffchat.bsky.social
Life Without is now on BBC Sounds. It’s a new podcast series I’m presenting for BBC Radio 4. Imagine the world without something we take for granted. V interesting guests and only 15 mins per episode. First show is the moon…

Glasgow, my first show of 2026 is at your comedy festival on March 29. Hoping for a couple of laps of the clockwork orange while I’m there.

Wherever you can get BBC Sounds, by whatever means necessary…
I loved being on this show and feel lucky to have joined in on a few episodes. I’m v sad about @robinince.bsky.social leaving.
Ha! No shit, Sherlock
This has been so much fun to record, all the guests excellent and somehow edited down to 15 mins. Imagine that, a podcast with no waffling…it’s a first for me, certainly.
Did you make it…?
Happy times with @stephenfry.bsky.social guessing Blue Whale. I had no idea it happened so often…
Erm, absolutely never had a drink before any QI recording in 23 years so not sure what you mean. Probably wanted one…
This is true. The dole was £26 a week and the EAS was £40 a week, and you were allowed to earn. You had to have a grand to sign up. I borrowed it from my father and gave it back the next day.
I’m sorry to hear about Robin. It’s absolutely true that he understudied me in Auntie and Me (with the late great Margaret Tyzack) and I asked him to go on when Arsenal were playing Man Utd. I was grateful! At least he got to do the show once. It was a 90 min monologue he’d spent weeks learning. RIP
