The televisions all around Mobius suddenly change channels as standing in front of the screen with his back facing it was Neo Metal Sonic, the cloth around his waist billowing in the wind.

"Attention, future loyal subjects. This is your new ruler, the one TRUE Sonic!"

He would look down at the exhausted robot before him, and while his eyes held no emotion, there was a clear mix of pity and disgust in his eyes.

"Leave her, if she has any sense in her main processing, she will come around to our ideals, if not, then so be it."

He said to Shard before leaving.

He looked at her, his eyes bore into hers

"I commandeered it when I overthrew the foolish doctor and locked him away, making it my own. But that fleet was destroyed by the faker and his allies during my first defeat. This time, we'll take the doctor's flying fortress, yet another useful tool he abandoned haphazardly."

He stated, raising-

"But that's exactly it, Rose... The Egg Carrier, a flying fortress with strong, destructive capabilities and a large number of defensive measures."

He looked out towards the ocean, nodding his head slightly before turning toward her.

"How likely could we get it back in working condition?"

Neo Metal Sonic was walking around the roofs of Station Square, looking around now and then as though he were searching for something, the red glow of his eye display narrowing before an audible sigh escaped him.

"It cannot be this difficult to find... Curse that Doctor's antics from ages ago..."

"Good, first we need to route power from Station Square to this, our base of operations. Second, prepare a room... It's time to announce the creation of this new empire, the coming of an age... 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘼𝙂𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙈𝙀𝙏𝘼𝙇."

He said with pride in his voice, turning towards the door, this was just the beginning

"A kiss?!"

He'd pat the metal plate that made up his face

"I do not have a mouth with which to do this action of organic affection."

Despite this, he'd lean in to prove himself as the real Sonic, a small jolt of electricity zaps from his metal plate to her cheek

He clenches his clawed fist tightly in a display of power.

"That faker can only hold up for so long, but I remain pristine and in my prime, I am the ultimate lifeform, the true Sonic!"

"Rise now, awaken into your better self... Identification, Shard."

He stated as he stepped back from the computer, looking towards Shard expectantly.

"No longer will we be the lap dogs, we will be in control."

Neo Metal booted up the backup generator power and plugged a connection cord into Shard before typing away at Shard's core programming, altering the corrupted data and putting in a long intricate string of code, fixing the glitches and removing any programs that forced loyalty before hitting launch.

Upon arrival of the abandoned Eggman base, Neo Metal would force the door open and walk inside where he had set up a laboratory and fabricator, setting Shard onto the pedestal.

"I'm only going to have enough backup energy in the facility for this one, afterwards I must secure more stable power..."

"Rest now, when you awaken next, you'll be free from the foolish Doctor's inferior programming... You'll be much more than him."

Neo Metal lifts Shard onto his shoulder before walking towards the Mystic Ruins.

"So long as they obey this new empire, then they have nothing to fear... Only those who resist will be dealt with swiftly."

Neo Metal's eyes flicker slightly before casting a light red glow

"So you should tell them not to resist, and I promise they will be spared."

🖋️ Seeing the Sonic Underground rep all of a sudden in RPing makes me upset I didn't pick up on Manic's personality sooner... Perhaps I could whip out the old Sonic Underground DVD and give it a rewatch. I fuckin' loved Sonic Underground, and my favorite was Manic.
