My point is, certain things are objectively wrong regardless of the century. I’m not going to defend a slave owner because they lived 250 years ago and that was normal back then, just like I won’t defend a lot of the awful things happening today that a lot of people are seemingly okay with.

I think the thing I admire most about Cuba more than any particular policy, is how they’ve managed to hold on despite decades of the embargo, they managed to establish socialism 90 miles from the borders of the US and never caved to any of the US’s attempts to destabilize them.

They literally owned slaves. George Washington removed someone’s teeth to make himself a pair of dentures. Thomas Jefferson raped a 13 year old girl.

One of the ones that currently exist, I’d say Cuba is closest to my ideal form of communism.

Back in the 40s maybe (and yes I disagree with them on this stance) but I don’t know any modern communists who are even remotely zionist.

Communism has looked different in every country where it exists (or existed), so yes it would look different in America than it would in Russia or China. Just like communism in China looks different to communism in Cuba.
