Trying to figure out a way to work 'kinetic' in there but I'm blanking.

Makes a.. horrible kind of sense.

Somebody wants to be able to make sure that their politicians 'stay bought'.. and the more kompromat you have on them, the less you have to give them in bribes.

So it's a big tent but you _don't_ want to know what's underneath?

Agreed, but then his cameo in the World War Z novel said everything there.

That works too.. and likely happens more often.

/e for engagement bait?

GURPS Ring of Fire.

No mention of stats for Johnny Cash, though.

Jokes aside, this is the sort of thing that made GURPS 3rd Edition such a powerhouse, and other publishing companies (and authors) will hopefully follow suit.

I'd say we've known the answer to that since July 7th, 1984 but then my issues with any and all anime adaptations of the Lensman series are known.

Either way.. if money's to be made, the answer to your question has been 'No' basically as long as we've had money.

He cares not from whence the blood flows, as long as it flows?

Many happy returns of the day.

I was taking that as a riff on the Marvel Super Heroes RPG for some reason.. the 'Advanced Set' was the game's 2nd edition, with more details and rules.

Yep.. not sure about a full-on preflight hotel but some sort of 'check your luggage here, then enjoy a day spa until your flight is ready to board, no matter how delayed' sounds good.

I'm also open to people using /s for sarcasm, /r for rhetorical questions, and.. hmm.. maybe /l for 'I may have quoted a song lyric, please don't continue to quote lyrics from that song'.

Definitely different takes on the base concepts but the 2004 version has its own visceral charm.. and the last performance of Richard Biggs, IIRC.

A-frellin-men.

Maybe not the first, maybe not perfect, but he set the bar.

All those sad Zoolander reenactors having to skip or postpone their gasoline fights..

20 minutes after everybody wealthy enough to buy/own/sue a media organization is dead?

Bollea vs. Gawker made it pretty clear that angering the money is a bad idea.

Well, there's Cyberpunk and there's Shadowrun.

That being said I don't recall Bartmoss' Brainware Blowout having a utility to control fountains.. or plumbing, for that matter.

If there are no living witnesses, the stealth mission was a success?

Like a short you play before or after another film in sequence.. assuming they have one.

I stopped paying attention after a while.

I could see Mayweather and Reed flying them.

Those are not the fun days.. sorry to hear.

That sounds like a White Box hack that would be on my game shelf next to Synnibarr and Thirsty Sword Lesbians.

Just like tabletop RPGs.. some people need to have and respond well to what's basically extra homework.

But if they want the opening-night ticket sales equal to the Before Times then they can't just bank on the Hall H crowd.

Maybe with pictures to help readers understand, of course.

Nah.. that'd never catch on.

Well.. if his salary depends on his knowing better, sure.

Same with the Lensman series, though the 'treats' are more like 'new and exciting ways to destroy planets' or 'never having to answer to any authority whatsoever'.

Seem to recall a line about democracy being the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it.. good and hard.

Thus Sunday gravy.

I keep trying to make one but my results vary.

Using, of course, tools made from trees you cut down yourself and metals you yourself mined, smelted, and forged.

I'm familiar with Carl Sagan's apple pie recipe.

In theory nobody, which would be terrible if the goal was for those firms to be engaged in 'classic' commerce (selling goods, performing services) as opposed to 'modern' commerce (looking good enough to be acquired by venture capital/private equity).
