One of my design students told me they are worried and feel hopeless because of the general climate (tough job market, being replaced by AI, all the other stuff..). It’s hard but important to cultivate optimism when the going gets tough.
Really good points. Since I’ve been educating UX designers for a while now, I’ve learn that curricula set the foundations upon which designers build their careers. Where I am, we go for: abductive thinking, research skills, design craft skills, thriving in uncertainty, design beyond 4 profit.
