I spent a pleasant couple of hours talking weaving, arts, and welding tonight. It was much more interesting than the socialising thingy happening around us

The music in the parents area of the dance school is insanely loud today. Why? There’s a million screaming children, you can’t drown them out, and my autistic ass is not ok with this

This site needs a break. Post 3 good things, none of which are the cessation of a negative.

1. Cuddles - pet or human
2. Warm blankets on cold days
3. Knitting

It’s MARCH! WTF!! Where the actual F*%# has this year gone? Seriously, it feels like everything around me is moving far too fast, but I have been getting a lot done. My first project of the year was a jumper (sweater) for my 8 year old. It was finished mid-summer so all I can do is pray it will still fit her when it finally cools down enough.

Ahhh. In all fairness we already are, they’re just more… spandex-y at the moment 🤣 Wouldn’t worry about running out of fuel though, at the rate the prices are rising no one will be able to afford it and then we’re just gonna have to get on the eat the rich bandwagon. So sad. 🙃

You didn't "fail" to make an unworkable situation work. It was not on you to make the unworkable work. You should not have been put in the position of believing that it was your job to make the unworkable work. You don't deserve to be punished for the unworkable not working.

I made yarn! First ever ball and it’s a mess of over and underspun but I’m really happy with it. It’s Leicester cross breed fleece, spun in the grease and washed after plying (2ply)

Those were the projects my mum used to teach me to sew when young. Clothes are less frustrating when you have the basic sewing skills down

Sewing as a Way to Shape the Future—and Survive the Present In June 2020, my partner and I moved home to Aotearoa New Zealand after two years in the UK. It was the middle of Covid, so we moved in with my partner’s parents, where I spent much of my time cons…

Sewing implies a belief in there being a future occasion to wear whatever garment you’re making.
