I read the first one. Felt a bit grumpy yesterday and my put down was exaggerated haha. I think what bothered me most was the episodic character of the narration which I felt prevented the flow.

Again I have to learn how to play guitar all over again because I never play unless I record stuff and... I am about to record stuff.

I know the difference between sword and sorcery and high fantasy so that's not the issue but I found the elric stuff I read just lacking, lazy world building, no compelling characterization of the main protagonists and - as much as I enjoy escapism - nothing that is a relevant commentary to anything

I'm too old to start over but if I could I'd play raw anti-fascist vampyric black metal with a bit of a surf rock touch maybe, but oh well...

I am only just really getting into ttrpg's and I am buying more than I can play without even having a core group. I am enjoying just reading about systems and look at the worldbuilding but at the same time I think maybe slow down a bit? lol

It's been a bit of a blockfest these last 24 hours, just like in twitter times.

There is no actual skyrocketing AI use, its just the idiots that went all in on investing in it are panicking. Remember NFTs? Blockchain? The same people were saying those were inevitable, too

So glad I hummed that great idea into my phone last night but also nothing about it makes any sense today.

The kindest thing I can say to those who defend shitty people and are trying to turn it around and blame those who call out shitty behaviour is that by doing so you inevitably establish a position and I'm quite sure that it isn't the one you'd want others to associate you with.

It is surprising and shocking and I'm sorry you are the target of this. In a weird and twisted way it also validates what you do though and shows the reach and weight of your work!

Yes, my first thought was that it must be because what you said in your sketchbook. This says a lot about the person I guess. One more reason to not go anywhere near her stuff.

A small orange tree in a white pot on a kitchen windowsill

We are planning to get lots of plants for the house and our small garden this year. 10yo chose this lovely orange tree to make a start.

Microsoft: Please please use our AI systems, we’re teetering on the edge here

Anthropic: I wonder what’ll kill us first: lawsuits, regulations or model collapse

I haven't heard of Unknown Armies before, just went to look it up and think this is exactly the kind of game I am looking for. Will definitely play it soon, thank you so much for pointing me towards it!

I want to play something where a nonviolent approach is an option while the opposite is also present as a choice. the call of cthulhu ttrpg comes close, it encourages to avoid combat but for the wrong reasons (enemies are almost always stronger than you are)

Floppy disks have spent more time being used as save icons, than being used to store data.
