The problem with a lot of the pro pallys, is that this claim really lead to the conclusion that he should’ve waged war on them early on and take them out of power before they solidify their strength in the the strip. But these guys would have been against that even in hindsight.

For one thing, they took power in Gaza before he got into office.

You can claim he elevated their prominence with the Palestinian population, that would be a fine point to make.
