Been listening to Peter Gabriel’s “So” this week. What a masterpiece.

I moved over a few months ago. The interface is not great, but I do notice a significant increase in sound quality. I hadn’t realized how compressed Spotify was, even at highest playback.

When I say “I WILL FIND YOU” to people, it disappoints me how many people don’t think of this movie first and assume I’m quoting Taken.

Fun fact: my wife and I made mix cds for each other in high school and one she made me had “Last Goodbye” on it. Folks, if someone introduces you to Jeff Buckley, you should consider marrying them.

My kids are getting into Jeff Buckley right now and the misses and I are very proud.

Sometimes I think about the fact that Billy Corgan was probably, what, 27 when they recorded Mellon Collie and I get really impressed.

I never thought it would happen to me, but I’ve become one of those musicians that has spent over 5 years on an album. But the good news is it’s still moving along. Glacially. But at least it’s moving.

Now we need a 90s one in teal full of Memphis design elements.

Sounds like my dog. He fails to understand that when I say "Hi" it's just a hi from a distance. He doesn't need to come over and investigate.

Successfully paid at the donut shop using my phone and didn't fumble like a luddite. Maybe I'm learning.

I think that's how we all feel. Thankful for the pro photographers/videographers that may have caught us in the background.

Wow, I don't even know what to say about NAMM this year. I ran into and met so many people and felt like a humble little piece of this big old gear community. I took exactly 1 picture across 4 days and 3 events.

I'm already sick of seeing that airbrushed sagging turkey gizard of a face in all the headlines.

I don't think there's been a more appropriate first post than this!

I mean, they don't often check very closely. You could probably put a piece of paper that says "totally legit NAMM pass" on it and stick it on a lanyard.

I mean, just look at the COMPOSITION!

Really been into the work of Maxfield Parrish the last few days. Which led me into a hole of looking up really old Harper's and LIFE magazine covers.

This was peak media consumption and I cannot be convinced otherwise. The future was so close.

An online conversation in which someone said they've never owned a guitar longer than 3 years made me realize I've never owned a guitar *less than* 3 years. Huh.
