I was on a train a couple of days ago, and the current route maps on the train, made my brain melt, good help someone who isn’t a regular on the DLR

Honest question from someone not connected, but would anyone in the PLP be prepared to try and get Burnham in first and then pull the trigger, or has that been and gone, and it’s on the Ed M train 🙀?
Set piece select committees are painful, as it all gets a bit showy offy
@reckless.bsky.social on the last Vergecast.
Got to score that
More time for Tailenders so not all bad
Quiet right, shops, good food options, interesting for people watching
Charlton Life is brutal panic central, amazing stuff
Sounds excellent, need a trip to Charts Farm in Borough Green for ours. Yeah, I’m just not indulging in the panic Charlton wise

I’m just thinking if I stay in the civil service long enough, I’ll end up as Cabinet Secretary
I’m one of 600
I’m still stunned that Alex Horne is the mind behind all the tasks
Hannah Galley, Tory councillor in Westminster
To be fair, his soon to be second wife, has managed to get elected, which must boil his blood a bit
Just comes across as a bitter divorcee
Divorce has properly made him weird
We might disagree again today, but I think a Premier League team, not making at least the semis of the conference league is failure.
Well this is going to end badly
I mean look, a Labour government *cannot* cut welfare spending to increase defence spending. It’s just silly to pretend it can.
And more generally: “cut social spending to rearm” is just awful advice across the EU. Is Europe more or less secure if populists win elections?
Fair enough, I’ll go back to the stopping the youngest from stealing a raven as a pet from the Tower
How sad, always remember him for having a run of amazing performances when Arsenal won the league in 1998
No I read it, just it wasn’t our financial services strength and being out of the € that caused the instability of our membership, that was a longer issue. we had a pretty decent place inside and out from as FS perspective. The loss of passporting has been more of a pain since leaving
And yet Sweden, Poland and Denmark memberships are stable and solid
Is you lived in the south of Essex, the two Gravesend Grammars were prime to get into, and then they closed the ferry link from Tilbury, and they now need to go to the Essex ones and it's got a bit angsty
Part of the Essex issue is that it’s got harder to get into the Kent/Bexley grammars for catchment
As a parent in Kent, its brutal getting into Grammars, and I say this as a parent of a kid who's at one, they are now schools for parents who can comfortably shell out a few grand for tutors
