Liverpool were unlucky in the 1st half, but the 2nd half xG while chasing the game is damning for them.

CFC: (cheapest) 10 available on their list is unsurprisingly going to be a prospect the sporting directors know well (Palmer deadline day in 2023)
Brighton: their scouts still like him but their coach doesn’t, needs a ENG loan to become HG
Player: turns down Leeds for CFC, ultimately his decision

Because depth wise, if Delap is out 8 weeks & João Pedro is the 9, there’s definitely a spot for an attacking 10 to come in or rest Palmer/Enzo. Certainly not the caliber of player required, but this is a real consequence of the FFP sanctions, which dictated 80% of the summer business.

He was the Tyler Adams to Caicedo/Lavia, an easy "cheap" loan in case of Simons/Fermin deal not happening.

It depended on the Jackson deal basically, they needed a big sale to register a new player.
They thought they could an obligation for Jackson, it's not one, so loan fee not enough headroom.

It's FFP sanction on the A List registration by UEFA.
They wanted Simons or Fermin,
Can't register them with Jackson's loan not counting the obligation fee on the balance,
So they went cheap with a loan (and still couldn't register him on the CL list so that balance was tight).

1xG vs 0.73xG - it must be so demoralizing, this is a proper curse

They're doing what they always do at Anfield!

A high m2m press in midfield with grandmas in midfield & great grandmas at the back, is a choice.

100% handball yeah.
The narrative that Heaslip is pro Chelsea, she’s just not very good at her job.

It does mean that outside of a new extension for Buchanan to rehab, her future is uncertain but it likely was already pre-ACL. Certainly the injury made the transfer inevitable.

But this is the kind of transfer that's short & long term proof.

CFCW couldn't just get a stop gap CB option this time.

Girma to Chelsea doesn't just fill an immediate need for the season & CL (Bjorn & Bright not an ideal pearing, no rotation available) but long term, it's also the perfect buy.

- Bright's decline less of a worry.
- No rush in Buurman/Mpome's development's timeline.
- Bjorn back to top squad option.

Dogshit division

This Niners team has been sloppy and slow all year long, mistakes, penalties, horrible game management calls.
It needed Shanahan to correct post-bye and no, he’s simply having a horrendous year.

The season is over. Brutal schedule left, give rookies all the reps.
A big retool is needed.

It’s an interesting development for Chelsea given how high variance the team was last season.

Fully deserved double lead for Chelsea. Game plan worked, City only adjusted timidly by going direct.

Ramirez doing things only she can do in the women’s game.
Reiten scoring after a fantastic pass by Bronze who’s been excellent.

Chelsea’s OOP weapon, Maika Hamano, excellent as well.

Bompastor’s press plan so far has limited City’s ball progression with Hamano neutralizing Hasegawa, but Chelsea’s final 3rd play is very poor today and City seem to have the better attackers, especially if they go more direct, they have favorable mismatches.

Chess match type of game.

Ah that’s a cool feature, thanks. I’ll check it out.
Maybe I do follow some CFC/Eagles fans or 49ers/Liverpool fans … we didn’t know we had snakes so close to us…

Trying to hack the algorithm here and so far it keeps suggesting Eagles & Liverpool content.
Two of the most insufferable fanbases on earth on top of being teams I unabashedly do not like. Annoying.
