Idk why out regular old public school district insists on doing high school graduation at the State Theatre. Getting tickets through the playhouse square website just now was 5 of the most stressful minutes of my life.

He’s right. Meanwhile, libraries (libraries! - supposed champions of the working class) are embracing artificial intelligence.

Btw, we need to use the full phrase artificial intelligence when we talk about it because the whole thing becomes sanitized when just using ‘AI.’

This sentiment from Congress is coming too late. We’re gonna be looking at entire inner cities with land not owned by residents. And corporate property owners are gonna sell to other corporate owners so they can do whatever they want with the land.

After our recent hailstorm I do now realize that my community is more bougie than me. Minor cosmetic damages need to be fixed immediately??

No, b/c then you can’t point to those dings in your deck and say, “That’s from the great hailstorm of ‘26.”

I hate it. I miss my local tv crew. I hated whoever was calling the game and the halftime analysis was awful.

Just....not a fan of this @amazonprime.bsky.social basketball production. Why does the one guy feel like he has to yell on every play?

I think all us longer-hair individuals need to have a half ponytail day in honor of Max Strus. #Letemknow #Cavs

it is wild to me to have a colleague say that using genAI to do a "first analysis" of a bunch of papers to get summaries and then engage with those summaries is a legitimate way to do any sort of scholarship like fucking hell how are you calling yourself a scholar

I've watched more outdated, disgusting, moldy, smelly books be donated to our library today than probably any other day I've worked in libraries.

Throw you old books away. That's what our Friends do. Seriously, you aren't helping anyone. THROW YOUR BOOKS AWAY. You aren't going to hell for it.

My grandmother was an Italian immigrant and joined the women’s coast guard reserve during WWII. In one of her first letters home, she raved about the food and was ecstatic abt getting two meals with quality meat every day. We must do better for our servicemen and women.

In all honestly, if they're bringing him back out, these batters just need to get out.

I could do a TED talk about everything that is wrong with society based on the fact that every damn person wants to paint their brick white or black.

Drop your crime fighting Catholics

(It’s an assumption that Dora was Catholic but there’s a good chance she or her older family members were, so I’m going with it. Consistently stopping theft.)

Happened to be in the high school parking lot at dismissal time.

Y’all. Jorts are back. Seemingly all genders. And like, the longer ones. Like, Avril Lavigne and Sum 41.

Our district is similar! I love it, and the mix of faith traditions our kids are exposed to our is awesome too even though we aren’t religious. (Though my 15yo now knows some curse words in Turkish thanks to her squad leader in band, but it’s all in good fun!)

And then they’ll go home easily, affordably and safely via their excellent bus, tram and metro public transportation network.

Jealous.

@nbc-sports.bsky.social I just want to watch baseball. This is already WAAAAYYY overproduced. It sucks. Why does everything have to be a production. Simple is good.

Cleveland Pride is on D-Day this year, so I’m sure we’ll hear complaints from the right-wingers (“ a disgrace!”) who just don’t understand how gay WWII was (or don’t want to admit it.)

It would honestly be a perfect time to highlight how the war helped develop queer friendships and communities. 🏳️‍🌈

Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.

Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!

Wouldn't it be cool if NASA spins these missions the right way for kids that it gets them interested in MATH? Not just science, but the math involved. I've always said that if K-12 math was taught through more applied methods that kids would find it more interesting.
