Our district is similar! I love it, and the mix of faith traditions our kids are exposed to our is awesome too even though we aren’t religious. (Though my 15yo now knows some curse words in Turkish thanks to her squad leader in band, but it’s all in good fun!)

Wouldn't it be cool if NASA spins these missions the right way for kids that it gets them interested in MATH? Not just science, but the math involved. I've always said that if K-12 math was taught through more applied methods that kids would find it more interesting.
