This is why the left is losing. I’m a progressive Ivy-educated professor at an R1 university. I enjoy MMA and practice martial arts. So do a lot of people. Those “meatheads who move their mouths when they read” used to be called “the Democratic base”. This bullshit elitism is why we lost them.
Almost 50% of the population still supports him so basically until that support drops, the insanity will continue. Many of us are still out in the heat protesting, but there's only so much one can do. In the meantime, we need to build progressive candidates and support our communities.
