I want to highlight this: the PMSITAC report uses AoNZ's relatively high funding of ag/environmental research vs other economies as a reason to recommend very significantly cutting them, and our relative extreme underfunding of social research as...a reason to even MORE significantly cut it. 🧪

Climate vandalism at every opportunity. A good, albeit depressing, summary:

I went with "the bill is fundamentally flawed and there are no possible improvements that would make it reasonable..."

Fire prevention and fire safety | Fire and Emergency New Zealand Stay safe and reduce the risk of fire over summer. Find out what you need to do before you light a fire outdoors and whether you need a fire permit.

I'm really proud of this project, the culmination of 12 yrs of research on our plant BBQ.

Our plant flammability data are being used in this new Fire and Emergency NZ website to guide decisions about which species to plant around your property.

All - Bluesky Directory A curated collection of all things relating to the Blue Sky social media platform.

Starter packs are genius, but I was surprised there wasn't a list of them for people to find.

So I built it:
blueskydirectory.com/starter-pack...

The website monitors the packs being shared and adds the ones it finds to the database.

Missed your stater pack? Message me and I'll get it added.

A photo I took of a friend's dog squinting meaningfully at the remains of a burger bun my kid didn't finish. The dog has a brown and white face. She is labelled 'You, about to subscribe to greensky' and the bun is labelled GREENSKY

It would be neat if a user could create a custom feed by merging multiple lists. E.g. my science feed might combine ecology, spatial modeling and climate change, while someone else might combine climate change and social policy.
