Commentary: "The above clause is one of a few clauses amended to Motion 10c, but it’s particularly rattled Reform. Clause 1, as amended, still commits the council to implementing the Supreme Court ruling, but acknowledges that the Supreme Court ruling didn’t mandate blanket exclusions for trans people." In bold: "Are Reform upset, simply because they can’t justify blanket exclusion from single-sex spaces and services for trans people?"

Commentary: "Clause 6 remains untouched. It commits the council to support the Government’s VAWG Strategy. Clearly we've given big tech far too much control of content on the internet and we need to figure out a way to take back control without also building things that require individuals to maintain expensive infrastructure themselves
It seems obvious to me that the people you're talking about aren't actually progressives in any meaningful way. Social media is often a terrible place for mobs deciding to hold someone to impossible standards then berating them for failing to live up to those standards.
