Interesting. Our experiences are certainly different. When I hit 12-14, I said goodbye to Top 40 & really got into new wave & punk, so the riot girls of the 90's were right up my alley in college. I'm remembering their songs about abuse, abortions, etc. I'd love to hear the songs you remember.
