After a multi-year legal battle, I've been granted a restraining order against the notorious white supremacist Phil Arps

Arps fought this every step of the way (with legal aid) and I've been left with a hefty legal bill, I'm fundraising to cover the last part of the cost

If ACT and their followers are so keen on democracy, as they say they are, they would have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and taken part in the submission process offered to them.

Brett Christophers: Reason for caution over BlackRock investment | Q+A 2023
Brett Christophers: Reason for caution over BlackRock investment | Q+A 2023 YouTube video by Q+A with Jack Tame

Geographer Brett Christophers interview here in Aotearoa. Check out his fab New Enclosure from 2018 (I’m going to read his others). Everything he says tracks with what @garyseconomics.bsky.social is saying. A lot of that wealth transfer is through land and property.

I love Anthony Browne’s books and I love how he manages to turn Hansel and Gretel into 1980s Mike Leigh.

Totally. There were at least 2 cool band mums in this story.

4). Anyway, they were a really nice bunch of people and their band was cool.

3). So after a while of trying the lovely mum eventually called the AA (she thankfully had an account) and an hour later the AA showed up to this house on the banks of Lake Pupuke and unlocked the car. By that stage it was too late to jam and I went home and I never became a member of Womb.

2). Anyway, after knocking on the door and introducing myself we went back to my car (my mum’s car) to grab my gear. Except I had locked the keys in the car and couldn’t get them out.

1). Womb is a cool band. Back in the 90s there was another cool band from the North Shore called Womb. I think a Westlake Girls’ band. I can’t remember why (maybe they were looking for a new bass player), but I went to jam with them at the drummer’s house, well, her mum’s house.

It’s so obvious that Brian Tamaki is cynically exploiting the unresolved trauma and associated violence of broken men.

RIP David Johansen. I remember seeing you in Scrooged in 1989 with Bill Murray and wondering who the hell you were. Turns out you were a fucking legend. m.youtube.com/watch?v=Gvmv...

Going after books and bookstores…it’s becoming obvious that a feature of fascist societies is being stupidly oblivious to one’s fascism. www.aljazeera.com/amp/program/...
