It's gross to find out for sure that all the pride tape and support for women's hockey is performative. It sucks watching your kid throw away memorabilia that used to bring him joy.

Is it a surprise that the wealthy, white hockey players are maga? No. It's still disappointing to see it in real time. It's still gross when he bitches about negativity and people being political when he's at the sotu where rape victims are being ignored and 🧊 is out there murdering people.

Must be nice to have the ability to not care. It's not about "politics" for me, it's about a bunch of men lining up to shake hands and take pictures with a rapist and party with his enablers while laughing at his misogynistic jokes, all on our dime.

It'll be okay. Luckily we're way more into punk and ska than sports so he's got WAY better people to listen to than entitled athletes. Just one more disappointing bump on the road.

Now I get to try and explain this to my kid, that'll be fun. I'm SO glad he asked for a Gritsyuk jersey this year instead of his usual Hughes, but I don't think I can stomach watching them play at all right now. So disgusted and disappointed.
