In both foreign policy and economic policy, the core belief of Trumpism is that there is some button one can press to instantly and easily solve any problem, and every political leader this country has ever had was simply too cowardly to press it. That’s it.
Universal school breakfast and lunch helps richer and poorer kids alike. The data is extremely clear on this. Hungry kids can't learn, and making it universal means more kids of all economic backgrounds will avoid hunger.
But even if it didn't help, it is simply wrong to withhold food from kids.
