If they were winning the culture war would the MAGA hordes have to resort to these tactics? Nope. Their so called ideas are every bit as bankrupt and insincere as those of the GDR and will meet the same end when enough people take to the streets to depose them.

The truth that the MAGA minions who would impinge on thought, speech, and education know in their hearts is that there is nothing more dangerous to their reactionary viewpoints than people who can think for themselves. No indoctrinating necessary.

I also see them responding positively to work that is altogether outside their comfort zone of commercial sensibilities in theater with curiosity and respect for its aesthetic merits.

I have to tell you that I had a very hopeful day yesterday. I'm but my undergrad and grad classes I saw clear evidence that when presented with material that is not overtly political but that can be said to have neutral political implications, students gravitate to a humanist perspective.
