Orbital Decay by verese It’s been a year since the final, decisive battle and Katsuki’s going to beat the shit out of that damn nerd when he finds him. Izuku Midoriya went missing eleven months ago and with the rebuilding efforts after a near total societal collapse, progress on finding him has been slow. But Katsuki’s been looking, and now he has a lead on a certain green-haired freak living out in the boonies. If it’s Izuku, and it better fucking be Izuku, Katsuki’s going to kill him, beat the shit out of him, and tell him everything he couldn’t say a year ago. Not necessarily in that order. Canon divergence where rebuilding society is a slow, painful slog, they don’t go back to school, and everything’s just harder (or, where I ignore most of the Epilogue Arc and pick fights with the rest).

Writer Preview: “How? Explain to me how the fuck they’re any different, huh?” Dabi taunts, and Hawks can picture him tapping his foot, arms crossed over his bare, harnessed chest. “They just are! Dark Shadow was a gift from Tokoyami’s father, and Uraraka and her demon are in love, so it’s different!” Hawks is too distracted by another nekomata to hear the groaning of the burning cabin next to him. “Still failing to hear a difference for one of those, pretty bird.” Dabi tsks, and Hawks pauses for only a moment, gripping his feather sword. “Dabi, I-... I can’t afford to..." Hawks feels what’s left of his wings flutter with the implications and finally notices the groaning, but that only gives him enough time to not get crushed. It doesn’t give him nearly enough time to make sure a brick or shingle or whatever just busted his temple doesn’t do that. The world tilts, and he screams as he feels teeth in his side. At least it makes that one easy to stab. “Keigo?!” Dabi yells in proper panic now.
