I remember how when I lived only 8 miles from the Hortman's in Minneapolis, the city made no attempt for days to warn people in north minneapolis that a killer was on the loose in the area, either.

so let’s recap: they knew he was a suspect, they stopped him in between attacks, let him go and then did not respond timely to the Hortman’s being shot in their home.

So every day I was dealing with entitled pissed off customers who were mad that we didnt have phones in stock but were open, and at least one person each week wound up threatening us with violence for upholding our store's mask policy, completely oblivious by the fact more than half of us

I was actually struggling financially more than most, because I worked a job that needed commission for a liveable wage and was considered by our bullshit govt to be essential because apparently selling iphones that we couldnt even get in stock is essential telecommunications work.

the superdole thing is extremely tonedeaf Will. Maybe it was nice for those of us who are usually poor as hell to get a break from the immense stress of our poverty.

And a lot of us didnt even get that.

I worked $5/hr+ commission thru the worst of covid and was terrified of getting my mom sick.
