We've computed 202 trillion digits so far. We're still nowhere close. Because there is no close. That's the point.

3. Drop a needle randomly onto a floor with parallel lines. The probability it crosses a line is exactly 2/Pi. No circles anywhere in the setup. Pi just shows up uninvited. In 1901, an Italian mathematician did this 3,408 times and got Pi accurate to six decimal places.
2. In 1914, Srinivasa Ramanujan, a 26-year-old clerk in Madras, wrote an infinite series for Pi that produces 8 correct digits per term. Previous methods gave 1 or 2. Every Pi record since, including 202 trillion digits, uses algorithms from that formula.
1. Within Pi's infinite, non-repeating digits, every finite sequence of numbers exists somewhere. Your phone number. Your credit card. Your birthday. Every password you've ever used. Even their Base64 encodings. All sitting quietly inside Pi, waiting to be found.
That's the kind of relationship with craft I aspire to.
Three things about Pi worth knowing today:
Inspired by Donald Knuth, who versions TeX the same way. His reasoning: as the software approaches perfection, its version number should approach an irrational constant that perfection itself can never reach. When he dies, TeX freezes at version Pi. No further changes. Ever.
Happy Pi Day.
Starting today, I'm versioning Godel Space releases using the digits of Pi. v3.1 ... v3.14 ... v3.141 ... each revision one digit closer to a transcendental number that can never be fully reached.

Some struggles need patience, not pressure.
Next time a child hesitates, see the world from their eyes.
What small action from a child has made you smile recently?
We often expect kids to answer everything right away.
But confusion is normal.
Supporting kids through hard questions builds trust instead of fear.
Kids use simple actions to handle stress.
Rohan didn't run away or cry. He hid his face for comfort.
Do you remember doing something similar as a kid?
