On the writing side of things, I was able to hack away at a bit more of the prologue (Currently sitting at a little over 2700 words). Part of that includes the very rough draft of the first meeting with one of the love interests, which I started working on due to feeling stuck with a certain part.
Aaaaand some early sketches of the other two LIs! We'll tell you more once their designs are nailed down, but for now, have these sneak peeks.
Now for the art! First off we got some sprite WIP poses for Orson and Nate!
Before I get to the art WIPS, a quick announcement: Noire and I have discussed taking Butterfly Effect in a more 18+ direction, as scenes we have in mind work and flow better when not strictly SFW. No decisions have been made yet but it's fairly likely that's the direction we'll go with things.
Hello! Valor here again! This week's update is more visually focused as the college workload was pretty heavy for me , and I didn't have much free time to dedicate to the script. Noire basically carried this update with their amazing artwork, haha.

Writing-wise, not too much more of the script was worked on- instead, I focused on fleshing out our characters a bit more, jotting down some notes that'll let me write them more consistently. It was a fruitful bit of brainstorming, and I'm glad I took the time to do it!
SIMEON RYTE - A border collie who finds himself back in college after taking his own life. Full of sarcastic quips, he prefers keeping his secrets close to his chest. Many of his old man qualities worm their way with him into the past, raising a few eyebrows.
As an aside, I realized we forgot to talk much about Simeon! Our own protagonist! Since his character is the driving force behind the story, we can't just NOT talk about him. Here's a quick tidbit about him!
ORSON FRAZIER - A quiet hyena punk that usually minds his own business, but takes a keen interest in Simeon's suspicious behaviors. Better be careful!
NATE DURAN - A preppy goat who's part of one of the college's fraternities. He's rather nice, if a bit out of touch, but he seems to be hiding something...
Diving right in with Some of the cast! During the game, Simeon can pick from four character routes to delve into, and we're showing off two of those characters today!

On my own time, I've also been working on the script for the prologue, and it's going really well. I'd initially estimated a rough count of around 3000 words for the whole thing, but less than halfway through and we're pushing 2000 words, so it's looking to be a bit lengthy!
A good bit got done progress-wise this week! Throughout multiple voice calls, Noire and I ironed out the major plot beats of all the routes, as well as worked on solidifying the personalities of Simeon and main cast. We're not ready to show off designs yet, but you can look forward to them soon!
To start things off, thanks to those of you showing interest so far! We're really excited to finally be working towards putting these characters and this story out into the world, and we hope you'll love them as much as we do.
