Spent my birthday yesterday visiting Boba Bear’s recreation of Tifa Lockhart’s #SeventhHeaven bar from #FinalFantasyVII! I was blown away at how detailed it was. The “Gold Saucer” games were the icing on the cake. My deepest thanks to my girlfriend for such a wonderful gift!

The news about these layoffs @square-enix-games.com is terrible. I’m in academia now, but I was in the games industry before, as was my dad. The world of video games is still very dear to me.

Make no mistake: These layoffs — at several companies, for many years now — are rooted in corporate greed.

As horrid as I found Charlie Kirk’s views to be, I won’t celebrate his assassination. No one deserves to die that way, and my heart does break for his wife and children, who must now grow up without their father. I wouldn’t wish any of this on my worst enemy.
