I’m super excited about setting up a small writing boutique on my website to help fund the writing of my book.

Your support enables the continuation of survivor-led scholarship and creative practice that does not ask permission to tell the truth.
Funding the writing of They Called It Consent helps sustain ethically rigorous, politically accountable writing that challenges the language and systems through which sexual violence is routinely minimised.
This project refuses sanitisation, euphemism, and the quieting of survivor voice in the name of comfort.
They Called It Consent is an independently produced, survivor-authored work.
Purchasing items from this shop is not only an act of reading, but an act of material support for research, writing, and advocacy that sits outside institutional protection.

New blog post on a new website I set up for my book (tis a work in progress) 🤓
I wouldn’t recommend writing a book the way I wrote my PhD. 😬

This book involves writings on sexual violence, a topic that can be distressing. I encourage all readers to prioritise their mental health while engaging with this material. If you find the content upsetting, please reach out to support services or speak with someone you trust.

Very kind of you to say. I’m very excited about getting back into writing about visual terrorism ❤️
I’m writing a book about institutional abuse in Shepparton, if you’d like to know more, please join the newsletter, link in bio 🥰
I don’t engage much on social media anymore but it’s a timely discourse but also one that’s been around since the inception of photography.
There is a very interesting debate kicking off on social media at the moment, it’s about consent + images which has been problematic in photography long before the latest iteration of image manipulation.

If you’re in Paris then you ought to go to the national archives. No body does historical police surveillance quite like the French and their photographic archives.

And I don’t think we talk about that enough beyond our understanding of image based sexual abuses, it’s so much more than that.
The same futile hope that I’ll get back into me skinny jeans
You can find me on the Instagram though

Genuinely delighted to download a PhD thesis from a university repository where the author has neglected to remove the words "BITCH THIS IS YOUR THESIS" from the filename.
Okay, so I’ve done my annual Halloween feminist horror post, link to blog in bio👆🏻
I do love a good feminist film, especially those that take aim at the class system. Want to know more? There is a list of my recommended readings at the end of the post
