My oldest domain was purchased in 1999. My first domain (no longer active) was purchased in 1995, and it had to be done via the US Postal Mail because there was no mechanism to buy and pay online. **I literally mailed them a check.**
In case it helps, if it's on a domain you own, you could just forward all the email to a free mailbox you don't have to pay for (obviously you have to pay for the domain still). I'm uncozy with having someone else own my identity (like Gmail/etc) so I use my own domain instead, but host anywhere.
I was 19 and living in rural Kansas. Her showing up right when 9/11 happened was like some kind of huge bomb that went off. Or maybe dynamite. It dislodged me from my "safe" job and forced me to go far, far away (PNW woot woot!) much like dynamite would do... but also quite painful.
We also had a kid together. He'll be 24 years old this year... 😱
so she was stuck in our apartment. She flirted with me ... and he got angry and *moved out* (like, what dude?) and she and I ended up sleeping together. I moved with her to her hometown a few months later. That's my story of how I got to my favorite place on earth (she was a terrible partner though)
