This isn't dibs because I need to be good and currency + shipping + maybe duties is a lot, but like, I'm staring at them very hard. :P
I didn’t know this, did you? Amazing!
This is also a fake image. The details of the capsule are entirely wrong.
Yeah it was great for me as a giant bookworm. I did my 40 hours of volunteering I needed to graduate at that library. I'm sorry yours was such a bad experience.
That's wild, what a horrible way to run a school library. I spent so much time in mine outside of class, and it had reading programs too, we got to vote on book awards (I've always been such a geek :P)
We've started our own publishing label to support other indies! And our first announced title is @sunsetvisitor.studio's second game.
AND we've got something secret cooking in the oven with @smallbu.bsky.social to be revealed at a later date!

Captured by the Artemis II crew during their lunar flyby on April 6, 2026, this image shows the Moon fully eclipsing the Sun. From the crew’s perspective, the Moon appears large enough to completely block the Sun, creating nearly 54 minutes of totality and extending the view far beyond what is possible from Earth. The corona forms a glowing halo around the dark lunar disk, revealing details of the Sun’s outer atmosphere typically hidden by its brightness. Also visible are stars, typically too faint to see when imaging the Moon, but with the Moon in darkness stars are readily imaged. This unique vantage point provides both a striking visual and a valuable opportunity for astronauts to document and describe the corona during humanity’s return to deep space. The faint glow of the nearside of the Moon is visible in this image, having been illuminated by light reflected off the Earth. [alt text from NASA]
The #Artemis II astronauts said they needed more superlatives to describe their view of the eclipse, when the Sun was behind the Moon and its near surface was faintly illuminated by Earthshine
Having Canadian space feels this evening. youtu.be/AvAnfi8WpVE?...
Top image with Jerry saying, "You're crying because of Artemis II?" Bottom image with George saying, "The spirit of space travel got to me." Jerry then says, "Alright."
Someone with the handle @velocity69.bsky.social is sharing a video with the caption:
"The highest quality video of the moon was just released…
so beautiful
* Artemis II"
It's gone viral, but it's not from Artemis II. If you've shared it, you might want to un-share.
It's International Asexuality Day so reminder that everyone feels sexual attraction in their own way and that can include not at all. It doesn't mean they're broken or wrong, it just makes them another point in the broad spectrum of how to be human.
And they are ALWAYS welcome as the A in LGBTQIA+.
Oh my gd, the Artemis II crew doing a parody of a bad 1980s sitcom intro from in space.

Okay I'll be good to my wallet and pass. Thanks though!
Hmm yeah that might be too small...how much is this one?
Ooh, pretty but not quite my thing, I'll pass thanks
Please tell me about 1C
Could I please see 4C? And is it exactly 8 or bigger? (Smaller works better for me.)
Yeah that’s cool
An apparently outclassed Eowyn in mortal combat with Angmar, leader of the Nazgûl. The style is of a bold woodcut.
In a forest, the Hobbits Merry and Pippin sit on the “arms” of the Elk Treebeard while discussing matters with him.
The destruction of Mount Doom. Lightning bolts fire out from a mountain’s summit while a blast carries away its mid-section.
“The Grey Havens” - Three figures on a hill watch a lone ship sail out to sea. The trip ahead is shown to be sunny, leaving behind the rainy skies over the land being left behind.
Some of the small spot illustrations by Eric Fraser that accompanied the Radio Times magazine’s weekly listings for the BBC’s 1981 radio adaptation of Tolkein’s “The Lord Of The Rings”.
