I should note for point 1 I mean about the Minneapolis occupation, not everything for all time. Although...

I immediately knew they were lying about the assault in North Minneapolis for two reasons:
1. Everything the DHS has said, and I mean everything, has been a verifiable lie.
2. Have you ever swung a snow shovel around? They're like parasails, it's hard to imagine a worse yard tool for that lol.

There's a 0% chance they're actually going to leave. There's also a 0% chance we're going to give up.

The media has moved on but the assault on the state of Minnesota continues. Small towns, medium, and in both of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul—where this incident happened.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Thank you for spreading this message @wilwheaton.net - we need support in many ways, but mostly we need eyes to remain fixed on Minneapolis. Absolutely nothing has changed here.

Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.

I lived in Seattle for years, it’s honestly shocking how easy it is to get obstruction permits. When I moved back to Minneapolis we got a permit to drop a Ubox on the street immediately. In Minneapolis, we were completely unable to get a permit to drop the box. Guess we’ll have to permit ourselves.

What’s black, white, and red all over? A newspaper, except this isn’t a joke and the red is the blood of the people.

By failing to report accurately and unapologetically on the atrocities in the streets of Minneapolis and cities everywhere experiencing the wrath of these fascismos, you only accelerate the demise of the first amendment and the nation itself. I implore you to be brave and use your voices.

On the off chance this message makes it to all the journalists in America, I want you to know this: if you are softening your reporting on the horrors being perpetrated by this administration because you’re afraid of losing access, they are being very public with their intentions and strategies.

I have to agree with this, the 700 agent reduction has thus far been completely meaningless in terms of a reduction in state terror. Don't let nonlocal media tell you otherwise, we still need support and attention.
