The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire. It's written by an in-universe scholar as a historical deconstruction.

Think "World War Z except Star Wars."

It sounds hokey, but if you found the anti-fascism stuff in Andor compelling and relevant you'll also be fascinated by the analysis of the history from the Clone Wars to the fall of the First Order.

It's insightful and the real world parallels are not subtle and a little scary.
