Wait, is their logic that if they don’t have the evidence to convict a drug dealer of dealing drugs they’d be fine with prosecuting a paraphernalia charge, assuming they have evidence of that. Not all dealers are carrying paraphernalia around. Like … what’s that really going to accomplish?

Will be curious to see how it unfolds with the tax credits. They may be required to restore some of the interior stuff.

It’s been very much “Angie has shot herself in the foot” type of coverage (understandable), but it’ll be nice to see the coverage broaden

I also think we’ll start to see this race pivot to more of Peggy’s positives. She’s very talented. I saw her open for Amy in Iowa during the ‘20 caucus cycle, which was the first time I saw her in person, and just kept thinking “she’s got that IT factor and will go places”. And here we are.

continue to think people may be underestimating Buttigieg’s chances if he camps out in an early primary state for six months

Nothing about the workers of the Lowry either. Only wants to talk to the business owners. Doesn’t seem interested in talking with workers. Really living up to her promise to be there for the c-suite

Democrats planning to run in November’s midterm elections have been advised not to antagonise pro-AI campaign groups that have amassed more than $300mn to fight for the industry’s priorities.
The warnings by top party consultants, corroborated by people close to four different campaigns and party strategists speaking on the condition of anonymity, come despite internal polling for Democrats showing widespread public support for tougher AI rules.

They're calling it the best democracy ever.

Seems like someone could do some reporting on this “business” and what the hell the owners of other spaces that have been vacant for years are actually doing (aside from being rich)

I fear we aren’t long from “do we even need a city council” talk. Just skip right over trying to create at-large seats and/or reduce the number. Just get rid of it. Long Live the Mayor.

City’s Uptown ambassador program implemented years after it was funded - Southwest Voices A volunteer-run community ambassador program recently launched in Uptown due, in part, to a perceived lack of response from numerous City systems including 311, 911, and their elected officials. …

Nice to see @phmelody.bsky.social follow up on Uptown safety, reporting that Mayor Frey refused to deploy Council-approved safety ambassadors in Uptown for years & spent money for business reconstruction assistance elsewhere. www.southwestvoices.news/stories/unti...

I love Pritzker as governor and I think Kelly would be a good president. But I keep coming back to AOC and Buttigieg because they are the best communicators, broadly likable, and represent generational change. *ducks and runs*

I’ve seen this as an AOC v Buttigieg race for awhile now. And I guess I’ll be one of the weirdos who really likes both of them and think they would make a perfect ticket together.

Yeah, Mackenzie Scott is a fascinating case. She is literally ignoring the SOPs of philanthropy in order to give away wealth as quickly and efficiently as possible and she’s still getting richer. At her level it is impossible not to make money. Tax billionaires, A LOT.

I was handcuffed/charged with jaywalking (didn’t) holding a large camera taking a photo of street outside this McDonald’s.

While detained, MPD ignored multiple burglary calls. I had to take it all the way to trial where they tried to shake me down for a plea before dismissing 1 min before trial.

$50 million in funding that is 🤦🏻‍♂️

6 days ago 3 0 0 0

So, ALLBIRDS, the SHOE company, just announced $50 in funding and plans a pivot to become an AI infrastructure company, and the stock price just went from $3 to $10 a share. This economy is a god damn joke.

The Scandalous Lies Used To Accuse Hasan Piker of Antisemitism: An Investigation How organizations and leaders laundered clips from an Islamophobic propagandist, deliberately distorted Piker's words, and erased context to manufacture a case against him.

I spent two weeks looking into accusations that Hasan Piker is antisemitic. What I found was damning: prominent organizations and leaders have spread total falsehoods about him.

Whether he's antisemitic is for you to decide. But everyone should care when the ADL & politicians spread disinformation.
