The glass effect is visually confusing. The highlights on icons look like a light source is somewhere in the top left with a slight reflection off of a surface underneath it. Like every icon is that sphere drawing you do in Art 101 to study shadows. But there is no surface each icon rests on!
I’m going to keep this thread going because the more I use iOS 26, the less I like it. At least iOS 7’s move to a flatter design had some kind of consistency. WTF is up with that camera icon now looking super realistic??

The animations and motion for iOS 26 are supposed to show fluidity and maybe even playfulness. However, they often seem more “sloppy” and ragged. Uncontrolled fluid would go everywhere, which is what it feels like these things are doing. More distracting than playful.
I miss iOS 18 so much.
I think they’re having issues that the status page is not reporting. Waiting longer would make sense if something is timing out, but I noticed other errors besides auth this morning.
