You know a podcast has reached new heights when they find a way to incorporate instrumentals into an episode and convincing you they are about nuclear war.
Well, Pank and Dave have done it again. A truly unique and excellent episode amongst the other imperial episodes they produce.
Number 3. Resonates
Vance turned up in Hungary and Pakistan in the space of a few days and the opposite of what he was seeking has happened.... This won't go unnoticed.
The voice of my childhood, teens and ever since then, #AshaBonsle's magnificent voice and those of her sisters were heard every weekend in our family home as I grew up. @cornershophq.bsky.social paid her a fab tribute all those years ago, and we should all get our brimful today...
I blocked him everywhere. There was this time that we'd all say he'd let Queen live in his head rent-free. Then I started having imagined arguments with him and I realised it was me letting him live rent-free in mine! Life became easier when I ceased reading his back-slapping cheery bile.
Indeed so... he also had some great stuff of his on display in the club if I'm not mistaken?
RIP Martin 😢
Yeah I see that. So what's next, Paul?
Yeah. And also, I'm gonna listen to this again. Whilst Queen I was all very interesting and pleasing to the ear, I found this a more satisfying listen. Like I've heard the album in a new light. I don't think I've revisited Queen I. Other than the sessions
I know. I'm getting to work on Nevermore on the joanna
Yes. A very satisfying couple of hours...
And blimey was it worth it, Nicki
Extraordinary. A full, warm sound on the remaster. 2 tracks completely remodelled... Very interesting. And as for the sessions. The piano is extensive and perfect. Accompanied by magnificent bass. They were perfectionists. They worked hard and achieved the most beautiful results...
Oh far less.
Finally
Quite.
Thanks sir
How wonderful. Wishing you so much happiness...
A very dear friend, Martin Smith, passed away today. A wonderful man, devoted to family. An O's fanatic from the 1950s, his love of them was unstinting. Because of him me and my boy became season tkt holders. Rest in Peace you lovely man... @orientoutlook.bsky.social @lofcsupporters.bsky.social
I still haven't received mine.
Absolutely love it. We are on a wall in Iowa, @davenuclear.bsky.social
Framed collage of picture sleeves and advertising cards.
I found a picture sleeve single of “It’s a Mistake” last week. I had to pair it with my “Nuclear Device” sleeve I picked up last summer in the UK. Along with the Bang postcards given to me by @pankp007.bsky.social , it makes a nice collage for me to hang up! @bangpodcast.bsky.social
Goodness. Just seen...
Settlements will be reached.
Oh, has it been released?
The Hyde Park gig was good fun. Rescheduled a week after 7.7... I enjoyed QPR much more than QAL.
Gorgeous stuff... Perfect. I was at MK the week after Elland Road and (as I've droned on about as vomitum) sang happy birthday to the big guy on 5.9.84.
They still have it. Weekend's almost done. And those who have it appear to love it.
I'm suffering FOMOB.
I just don't see how that's beatable. I'd have to find something by Arthur Mullard
