First off, congratulations for this amazing success!
Secondly, I’m truly sorry for the crap you’ve had to endure because of bigotry. You should be celebrating. Not torn between that and feeling shattered.
Our community deserves better than this.

I will be toasting to you tonight in the meantime đŸ„‚

I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.

I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee

Shame on this government.
Cutting funding for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and girls, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people is irresponsible and vile.

Funding these organizations is the least this country should be doing given our history and the current treatment of Indigenous Peoples.

I hope a day of reckoning comes for all those that manufactured this consent for gatekeeping and hate. It’s literally killing people.

They let waitlists grow without any effort to reduce them, continued worsening the material condition of trans people by propping up pseudoscience and the debunked Cass review, allowed transphobes to run the EHRC, and the list goes on.

Remember this from the CEO calling trans issues “contentious”:

No one lost their homes, all it did was help start a long overdue Land Back process.

And now, this BC government is wanting to suspend Indigenous civil rights.

DRIPA stands for Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.

B.C. faces ‘complete opposition’ after telling First Nations of plan to suspend DRIPA British Columbia’s government has proposed suspending its Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, according to two sources in a meeting between Premier David Eby and First Nations leaders...

This is infuriating.
First Nations have finally been able to gain back some land in BC after landmark rulings in the province, citing DRIPA. And despite the fact that this mostly means that land goes from being owned by the crown to being under Indigenous control, non-stop fear mongering led to this

I am begging people to stop acting like we have to compromise or right wingers will enact fascism.

THEY WILL ENACT THE FASCISM ANYWAY.

The conservative justices on SCOTUS are going to rule against trans rights no matter what principle Kagan and Sotomayor try to follow. So why join them?

This will kill people. This will kill children. There’s a reason it’s being banned across the world. The US doing this just shows yet another way of the country regressing in insane ways

Supreme Court rules against Colorado ban on ‘conversion therapy’ for LGBTQ+ kids The Supreme Court has ruled against a law banning “conversion therapy” for LGBTQ+ kids in Colorado, one of about two dozen states that banned the discredited practice.

It’s Trans Day of Visibility. Unfortunately, the corrupt SCOTUS decided it should be allowed to torture Queer kids. UN experts have also deemed it to be torture.

The Justices pretended this “violated” free speech. Apparently torture is “freedom of speech” in the backwards states of America

Kentucky Bill Declaring Trans People Mentally Ill and Banning Trans Teachers Set to Pass Largely Unopposed Mirroring the anti-gay movement of the 1970s, Kentucky Republicans are quietly moving to ban trans people from teaching while forcing doctors to consider being trans a mental disorder.

Skrmetti handed state legislators the cheat code to get around Bostock. They can just ban people with certain diagnoses like "gender identity disorder" from being able to be licensed to be teachers, nurses, etc.

I think trans people who can’t let go to be the most baffling one. Tons of us let go after we found out she was a bigot. I don’t get how one can support funding your own oppression

Y’all are acting like giving up a book series is the worst sacrifice ever 🙄

I wish I had your life problems.
No instead I have to worry for my siblings across the world and at home who are losing access to basic human rights, are getting harassed, beaten, and in too many cases, murdered.

But sure, tell me again how horrible it would be not to watch a tv show once.

I wish my problems were so easy as to simply not watch a tv show.

National Gender Service can't close waiting list - HSE The HSE has advised the National Gender Service that it does not have the authority to close its waiting list, despite the service announcing plans to do so earlier this week.

There was some pushback as to whose authority the waitlist falls under, but it remains to be seen whether or not they went ahead with it.

As of March 1st, Ireland is collapsing its healthcare for Trans people. Here, they shut down its waiting list despite thousands of people still needing care. Instead of implementing an informed consent model that would relieve this pressure.

Congrats on becoming more like the English, IrelandïżŒ

United Nations rejects U.S. effort to erase trans women: "It stops here" - LGBTQ Nation One advocate accused the U.S. of being “willing to lie” to “push forward their own gender ideology onto people in the U.N. system."

Some good news out of the recent UN commission. Despite the US pushing for bigotry to be widely adopted, it was rejected.

The fact that the US was using this commission on the status of women to advance their idiocy is truly abhorrent. I’m glad most countries didn’t budge.

On that recent European Parliament vote that included recognition of trans women as women.

It’s a good step forward and can hopefully lead to meaningful changes. Even if this is non-binding and was to set their priorities as they enter negotiations at the UN Commission on the status of women

First of all, weak shit. I’ve studied detransition. I know many people who have. Researchers aren’t discouraged from doing it, they’re discouraged from doing it ~poorly.~

I agree, it isn’t talked enough. It’s not taken seriously enough. They all wonder why young boys and men are so radicalized, but then do nothing about it.
