I understand your point. My comment wasn’t specific to him, per se. My point is that there are instances where that critique is appropriate. I can’t help but think about Chili and “well all lives matter”. You see it a lot with Black folks who are trying to brush off their blackness to assimilate.

I think the context of the critique is important. We’ve seen plenty of Black folks that refuse reference their race in order to assimilate. Some of which have Black husbands/wives and belong to Black Greek letter orgs.
