It was so bad. So many of the tasks in the late game are just unnecessarily tedious.
Open an exhaust port to blow up the engine, but four times.
Navigate to a shiny core thing through the same room layouts, break it and then fight back out. Four times.

Finished Halo CE for the first time in over a decade and yeah it mostly still rips.
Some of the later levels are a chore and full of repeated layouts and tedious platforming bits (??? Why ???) but a cool ending sequence makes up for a lot of issues.

I never finished it back in the day but it’s been on my “I should really give that another go” list for years.
I will now promptly remove it. Thank you for your service.

I’m also really glad they kept the original graphics as an option in the remaster.
The new coat of paint looks graphically very impressive but it’s a whole different game vibe wise.

Started playing Halo CE on a whim and despite never being a massive Halo guy I’m still finding this so pleasant to hang around in again.
Levels feel so open to explore but with almost no markers to follow or even a map.
It means you get lost sometimes, but that’s sometimes the point.

I remember watching through all the James Bond films a few years ago. I started on Stan because they had 4K streams.

They looked like complete shit with compression artefacts everywhere so I started watching my 1080p discs instead. Night and god damn day.

Wrote down a list of where I get my digital music. Theres no one place for everything, but this covers pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted to find that is available at all.
