THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING POTATO

Not sure about that.
Pretty barbaric reprisals in some cases - headshaving being the least of the public retributions.
As the article states, often suffused with jealousy and/or hypocrisy.
But that was then, France 1945. Not London 2026: which despite fascist lies in UK & US, has not "fallen".
Lionel Hampton #botd 1908. Man, these guys 👇 The Benny Goodman Quartet. 1937. Two minutes of 🔥🔥🔥🔥 #jazzsky

Don't sweat it.
Tarring & feathering is an American bigot thing - that's what you'd be taking a break from Luke, not letting yourself in for.
It takes all sorts, there are good & bad over here as over there. Seek out the good, shun the bad, you should be all right eh @jacquelinecable.bsky.social ?

Pity that was the only duet, though (AFAIR) ... the title might suggest a couple more!

George is a legend in Czech music, on flutes/whistles/saxes/ clarinet. Jazz, rock, classical, anything. Has often espoused trad. themes.

Ah does me best, hinny.
Just a bit of clickbait to drum up trade.
That is a very measured & fair rejoinder.

Where da fock is NOO YOCK?!?!
So, you get the nosebleed AND pay through the nose???
Have Techbros (h/t @852dude.bsky.social ) taken over the Bluejays too?
I hang my T-shirt upside-down for you in solidarity, in a topsy-turvy world. At least you are not a supporter of Tottenham Hotspur ("Spurs"), so it could be worse.
A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!
Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

I am going with the lazier:
"Look, you know I am not your mother, Cyril?"
There was a young Lady of Bude
Who was horribly bored by a dude
Till she gave him a hint
That was plainer than print
And a desperate silence ensued.
Peter Davies "Less Eminent Victorians", 1927
GOOD ONE!
And the point is?
@lproulx.bsky.social you may enjoy this piqued query ... (needs clicking to see what it is commenting on)
Again, I'd take Oscar's piano over M Miller's any day ... but I was trying to discuss the "heart" of the song, most obviously and to me most effectively taken by a sympathetic, but powerful trumpet. ... Anyway! ....
And then, in later years, all anger passed, Roy Hargrove made some lovely renditions of it. This (also with video bonus, & ALSO with Golson on hand!!) was perhaps his earliest go.
But each to their own favourite versions of such standards! :o) It is a handsome tribute to one lost shockingly young.
