On god I loved the alamo not just for the movies but half the reason was the staff. The one in Raleigh had amazing workers and I loved talking to them. They were the only reason Alamo was worth it even with the parties and rentals. Hell if I'll support Alamo after this.

That's a good point and it's even better growth, I think, with his whole issue of living and dealing with people in a retrospective point of view. He might have never decided to make these changes had alfie not brought it up to him
Oh you're right and I find it frustrating behavior but like, I love it too. Because it's a realistic character flaw, but also I read odd bits of childish behavior from him, presumably could be related to never having/not at all remembering being a child. It feels def coherent at least

Yet another podcast obsession: "Not Quite Dead" by @hangingsloth.bsky.social is one of the most compelling pieces of vampire fiction I've read in a while. The characters feel so real, and the twists and danger and romance keep my rapt attention.
