China will be only too glad to pick up the crown after we toss it to the floor but we can hardly blame them for that later.

Each tech era seems to have a different power couple: a pair of corporations who own opposing sides of the coin of the realm. First was Microsoft & Intel, then Google & Apple, now it's OpenAI & NVidia.

I have a theory that ties together Marx's TRPF, rising inequality, & the aging population: people need to accumulate wealth as they get older because they won't be able to rely on their labour for income eventually;
