Literally it’s in the shownotes for something to discuss!

I really enjoyed MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES (Apple TV). The OnlyFans thing is the hook they've been using in the marketing but it's a relatively minor part of the story imho. This is really a family dramedy with some incredible performances, especially by Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning.
Good analysis. But also: why not use the money to make money??
I've been catching up on all the Noah Wyle interviews and one of the things that blows my mind is this guy was paid probably in excess of $50 million for his time in ER...then spent basically all of it and contemplated selling his possessions.
How do you spend that much money? It's legit difficult.
I liked LEE CRONIN'S THE MUMMY and I loved Steven Soderbergh's THE CHRISTOPHERS. More thoughts on today's issue of Decoding Everything: www.decodingeverything.com/lee-cronins-...

LC’S THE MUMMY subjects the bodies of parents and children to outrageous gory and vomit-filled punishment. There is a certain pleasure to that shock and spectacle.
But the ultimate themes of the film and how they’re explored don’t fully justify that journey, imho.
Still enjoyed myself, tho.
Maybe it’s slightly better than Dark Fate
OCEAN’s movies feel to me like TERMINATOR movies (after T2): Every now and again people try to make a new one but they cant really capture the magic of the original(s) but it’s a well known IP so why not throw $50-100 million at it www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
Marketer: You get those photos of Spider-Man and his father?
Animator: Sure did boss, real fuckin sexy just like you asked.
Marketer: what
Yup
Keanu reeves in OUTCOME
OUTCOME (Apple TV) is one of the worst films I’ve seen in 2026. What could’ve been an interesting exploration of celebrity culture is instead dull and lifeless with scant insight or laughs. Whole thing looks shot on the volume (derogatory). Despite being 83 mins, it’s a struggle to get thru. Avoid.
Real thing that happened during my therapy session this week:
Me: [describing something I want]
Therapist: This is just like that No Country For Old Men scene you’re always talking about. You’re always quoting that psycho killer in that scene he has with Woody Harrelson, right?

Humbling.
Thank you! Psyched for this
Incredible work
absolutely, memes were excellent
And it loses sight of the Rue/Jules relationship, which is the heart and soul of the show.
That said: It does seem like Season 3 will be one of the biggest television events of the year, so I'm looking forward to it. (2/2)
Rewatched EUPHORIA seasons 1-2 in advance of season 3.
Season 1 is technically dazzling and extremely defensible. You might not like it, but it's a bold swing on many levels.
Season 2 is a disaster, imho. Totally listless with pointless digressions for side characters. (1/2)

I’m about good enough to move thru daily life without much problem and that’s prob where I’ll be for awhile

Strong applicant tho
Just got to the end of COMPANY RETREAT on Prime Video (Aka JURY DUTY SEASON 2) and wow did the ending hit me like an emotional freight train. A moving and kinda profound experience!
Worth making it to the end for those who started, and worth checking out for those who watched season 1.
Robert Pattinson and Zendaya in THE DRAMA
Nobody really knows what’s in anyone else’s marriage. What THE DRAMA asks is: what if you didn’t really know your partner? What are you willing to forgive and forget? And can we ever really know and understand another person?
Really enjoyed this one but be prepared for your soul to exit your body.
Es ist definitiv eine Enttäuschung, aber die Kinder werden ihn lieben. Außerdem ist es ein visuell ansprechender Film.

@reckless.bsky.social (PS I would’ve DMed you this but your DMs are not open and you mentioned Bluesky as a way to get in touch, hence the thread)
@reckless.bsky.social 2) (Cont). Anyway, felt like a ripe area of exploration that would have been in keeping with the ethos of the podcast.
Otherwise, like I said, great ep and I think you gave him an appropriate level of a hard time for a feature that was so extractive and clearly illegal.
