They were top class around then. Can’t remember the year but U2 had gigs where they used Trabants as lighting rigs, The Pogues took the piss and used Tesco shopping trolleys instead 🤣🤣

Not sure who will tbh. Saw The Pogues a fair few times in the late 80’s early 90’s including when Spider was singing and Joe Strummer. Might be too old for a Pogues gig now but back when we were young they were a blast. Top riotous nights out.

Was feeling a little melancholic, then heard the new Springsteen version of The Pogues song A Rainy Night in Soho. Now listening to The Pogues. Not sure it will help with the mood, makes me sad we have lost the talents of Shane, Philip and recently Andrew.

So sad to hear that the drummer from The Pogues has died. Listening to Rum Sodomy and the Lash in celebration of Andrew Ranken’s life. Brilliant album. RIP
