Why is a bus the thing so many people are afraid they will be thrown under?

That’s nice of them. Gives you something to read while you wait

This sounds like an excellent solution to a ridiculous problem of your own devising. Yes, thank you for addressing this. But why did you do this in the first place? Why do you equate disrespecting your players and their time with "setting a challenge"? We really hope you learn from this, Bungie.

FTC asks to delay Amazon Prime deceptive practices case, citing staffing shortfalls The FTC’s request to delay due to staffing constraints comes amid a push by the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency to reduce spending.

Perhaps worth noting that the tv show, "The Apprentice," was added to Prime Video earlier this week.

Look, all I'm saying is that many of the Connections questions are like what you get when you ask a child to come up with a riddle.

Raiders of the Lost Ark Top Men!
Raiders of the Lost Ark Top Men! YouTube video by The Neon Theater

Speaker Johnson's claim that Musk has "cracked the code" of government spending and that Musk personally assured him that everything is working smoothly while Johnson himself clearly has no idea how any of this works, reminds me of this scene for some reason: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylJf...

Google faked Gemini AI output in Super Bowl ad Gemini didn’t write that incorrect Gouda stat at all.

Here's a wild rabbit hole: Google "faked" the creative process depicted in their AI Super Bowl ad, then deleted the problematic statistic it contained, while doubling-down on claims that the ad was authentic. All in an effort, apparently, to convince us that this will make our lives better.

The backstory on the Wisconsin Cheese mart one is funny, in a doom-ish sort of way.

I just read a thing where the author used "loathing" as a verb, and I've simultaneously never felt so offended, outraged, and old.

Did anyone else see you placing the microphone in the middle of the room, or are they still just ignoring you when you keep "noticing" out loud that there is a mic in the middle of the room?

I don't know why it bothers me, but it does: the blue line in Connections today was just the four words in the answer. Not even a hint of a game, there. What's the connection? That the name of the thing is the thing's name? That is some lazy AI, and poor stewardship.

Tech stocks fall as China's DeepSeek sparks U.S. worries about the AI race DeepSeek released an open-source artificial intelligence model in December after saying that it took only two months and less than $6 million to create it.

"Constellation Energy, which inked a deal with Microsoft to restart the Three Mile Island nuclear plant to power artificial intelligence servers, sank 16%."

That sentence is the most history-laden sentence I've come across in some time. Think of everything it brings together.

Planetary Update by Horoscope.com Don’t take it personally when the sun in Capricorn opposes Mars retrograde in Cancer.

I need a new horoscope site, because horoscope.com feels like a budget AI is generating their content, and someone forgot to tell it that horoscopes are meant to be readable and fun, not just word salad. Or maybe that's just the Taurus in me showing.

Well, if you’d taken the tongue depressors out of your ears—like she had asked you several times to do—you would have heard her clearly say “ACT your age.”

What you missed was the detective standing just outside the sauna door. That's the person she was actually speaking with. You were "the husband," aka, "alibi."
I'm surprised you hadn't heard of Susan the Sauna Strangler. She's wanted in 5 states, but the police can't seem to catch her.

Same. I have a story about how, during that golden era, I was late for a plane that had closed its doors but was still at the gate, and the boarding crew told me to go down the jetway and knock on the plane door, and the pilot would let me in. Which they did. Impossible to consider today.
