I don’t even have the words to describe it, just the best gig I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere was electric and pure joy. Everyone was just singing and dancing and basking in the music we’d missed for so long.

My advice is to slow it down and take your time, putting them in is not something to rush. I’ve been wearing them for 20 years now and I still take my time over it. It does get easier, try using your thumb and pointer finger on the other hand to hold your eye open.

Very good first lineup, a bumper undercard on Friday and Sunday for me. Hoping for Basement Jaxx and Pulp to be added to the Saturday and not too many clashes…!

Problematically, 8am is the time I need to be yelling at the kids to get their shoes and coats on for the school run/commute combo, the lineup dropping in the middle of that feels like a recipe for one of us to be late. But do I have the willpower to hold off looking until I get on the train? (No)
